Amy Winehouse nearly won all of the awards she was nominated for during the night. Her winnings included Best New Artist, Best Pop Vocal Album, Best Pop Vocal Performance, Record of the Year and Song of the Year. Winehouse performed her hit songs "Rehab" and "I'm no Good" in London via satellite. The artist was unable to make it to the Grammys because her U.S. visa was denied and was only approved a little late for her to come to the U.S.
Kanye West also had a night to remember. Like Amy Winehouse, West also won multiple awards during the night. His winnings included Best Rap Solo Performance, Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group, Best Rap Album, and Best Rap Song. With all is said and done, Kanye West's best moment came during his performance of "Stronger" and then "Hey Momma," which was a tribute to his Mom, Donda West, who passed away from Plastic Surgery complications.

The most disappointing moment of the night is the winner of Album of the Year, which later went to Herbie Hancock for his album River: The Joni Letters. Everyone, including Herbie Hancock himself, were surprised of the announcement. The announcement was another blow for Kanye West who is denied of the award for the third straight year.

I am not really sure what the main concept of your blog is on, but I am going to guess it has to do with pop culture and what is currently going on with the media. I just moved in to a new house so have yet to set up cable! Until then I keep up with my favorite shows by watching them online. My favorite show is LOST, a new episode comes on tonight but if you are like me and do not have cable you can go here to watch it tomorrow!
A pop culture digest would get a lot of eyes, but an angle would help. Maybe you could give some of your own opinions after the rundown? If not, it would just be a pop news blog. And that would be hard to get attention from the many that are out there. I do appriciate the politic talk. I have been sorely negligent on the issues and candidates this election (to be honest, every election).
Now about the Grammy's. I didn't watch to see the reactions, but I think it's good that Herbie Hancock won album of the year. I hear Jazz has not won is 30 or so years. So more power to him. Kanye does not need every award. He will still go home and sleep in his bed of rolled up hundreds. At least it looks uncomforable
Your blog did not have a specific topic, my guess was that it focused on mainstream media. I found Flash News, which offers popular culture news for media professionals. Check it out.
Is mainstream media your topic? The first sight I caught on your recent blog was about last Sunday's Grammys.
When it comes to writing, try to be more specific about your title.
I watched the Grammys. I was happy that artists like Kanye West, Carrie Underwood, and Foo Fighters won. But Amy Winehouse, hell no. She has a controversial personality which sort of resembles Eminem's.
I was watching the Grammys when Kanye accepted his last award and was very surprised to see how he presented himself that evening. He was dressed so casual; that even I felt more dressed up that evening (LOL). To bad I did not see any of his performances, if I did, maybe that would explain those ugly ass sunshades he wore that look like they belong to a woman. Okay, I’m going to stop and have some sympathy for the man. Kanye is very talented and his mom just passed away. By the way, I heard Sana G from KMEL say that the plastic Surgeon was giving out details to the public like it was hot cakes, and that’s just wrong! Donda’s death was tragic and does not deserve the disrespect. I guess it’s true when people say “money talks and bullshit walks.”
Your blog is well organized clear an on-point. It really looks professional, puts some spice in it and inform the audience about something that is not in the public spotlight. Make sure whatever you do or post that you is something that you sincerely appreciate. Keep up the good work though, but it shouldn't be just work it should be passionate.
